After sunset, street vendors struggle for it.
If they are lucky, there will be street lights on their goods.
Or they have to carry gas lights to work.

The lights of women's street vendors Aakarsh Shamanur caught the attention of a group of people --
A funding campaign for 250 solar lights was presented to female vendors.
Last year, he launched the "be Po-" in Bangladesh-
Lite 'and about 200 female vendors received the emergency light.
He is now taking the campaign to Chennai and the pilot project starts at Marina Beach.
"Through a survey, Be Po-
Lite's volunteers found that night time is the best time to do business for street vendors.
However, it is difficult for many of them to do business without proper lighting.
"We also want to promote women's start-up and provide them with better and safer working conditions," Aakarsh said . ".
Ann Anra, founder of Waste Solutions, said that in Chennai, the project will start by distributing solar lights to female suppliers at Marina Beach.
"Hundreds of women vendors are selling fish, vegetables, snacks and other products on the coast.
Lighting is often inadequate, they have a hard time doing business in the dark, and many vendors spend a lot of money on petrol lamps and inverters, which is not a sustainable option.
But with the emergency lights, they will get more visibility and security at a lower cost and they don't need to worry about working aftersunset.
"The charging point will keep their phones charged and help them accept payments through their mobile wallet," she said . ".
Aakarsh said the portable lamps lamp was designed with the input he provided himself by street vendors.
There are 3 lights per lamp-
5 w led mini tubeliight
Watt solar panels and a lampweight battery.
The panel needs to be kept in the sun for six to eight hours and can be used for up to four hours at night.
The panel is also equipped with a charging point.
The lamp is a contract-
The production cost of each lamp is as high as 3 thousand pounds.
The supplier will contribute RMB 500, and the remaining costs will be realized through crowdsourcing, which will be responsible for 3-
Annual warranty service.
Aakarsh said that the design of these lights makes it easy for local technicians to repair them and that each part is easily replaced.
"There is no plastic in any part of the lamp, and all parts have recycling value.
"These lights also come with a video instruction manual to help vendors understand their features," he said . ". The ‘Be Po-
The lite' campaign also tries to reach out to the residents' welfare association and sponsor lights in part if they want to empower women vendors in their communities.
"We welcome delegates from residents' welfare associations and businesses to identify suppliers in their region who can benefit from this initiative.
Lamps will only be provided after appropriate verification by volunteers.
We have location.
"Label suppliers so their location can be accurately positioned," Aakarsh said . ". The crowd-
The donation activities for Milaap will be open. org.
