One of the UK's largest wind farm developers is preparing to charge its first major battery storage project to help stabilize the UK grid as more turbines begin to spin.
Denmark's ø rsted, formerly known as Dong Energy, is about to build the world's largest wind farm and will become one of the UK's largest commercial battery developers from next month.
The group will start building a 20 mw power storage project in Liverpool next month, and hopes to provide a balanced service to the state grid by the end of the year.
