New Delhi: Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog, said on Friday that electric vehicles should not be taxed on roads to make the cost of ownership of electric vehicles comparable to that of burning cars.
He said NITI Aayog recommended that states cancel road taxes and issue green permits for electric vehicles.
2019 Kant of Indian Energy Storage said: "We have proposed to the chief secretaries that road taxes should not be imposed on electric cars and green permits . ".
