Widow Catherine Stanley was frustrated when she visited her independent home in Andover, Hampshire, and friends and family had nowhere to stop, so she arranged to drive.
But now the pensioner is facing more problems as she has to apply for a new lamppost so that her visitors can access the new lamppostlaid drive.
Mrs. Annals said: "Last year they issued a parking space permit outside and I have not had a car since my husband died, but I have friends and people coming to visit and they have no place to park, so I think I should put a lane.
"This lamppost was put in by the Council and I had a small wall there at first.
The contractor for the Lane said he would submit a fallen curb to Parliament and he would also apply to move the lamppost.
"He thought he would drive first and move it in --
It's all wrong everywhere. now everyone is taking pictures.
A spokesman for the Hampshire Council said the lamppost was installed as part of the installation project in the area.
She added that the application for falling shoulder and moving lamp post will be reviewed on a personal basis.
The Commission usually charges between £ 600 and £ 1,200 for installation.
She said: "We thank the head of household for acknowledging that her driveway was laid some time after the streetlight post was installed.
"She submitted a request this week to work on the sidewalk for vehicles to get in and out of the highway.
"Obviously, this requires moving street lights.
We are assisting Mrs. Annals in applying for the removal of the curb, including making the necessary arrangements for the movement of the street lamp posts.
"We usually seek to recover the costs associated with lowering the curb or moving street lights.
Each case, however, has to be evaluated separately, which is no exception.
We will make sure that the works that provide the drop curb and the relocation of the street lights are common
Keep costs and any inconvenience to a minimum.
