James Dines, author of Dines Letter, discusses the importance of graphite in lithium manufacturing
He expects an advantage for a graphite company.
With the sneaky years past, cars and home lithium batteries will be seen as an important wave of investment in the future.
Use of lithium ion batteries (LIB)
For many years to come, the main technologies of mobile and fixed storage are expanding and will become the main technologies.
LIB has been improved over the last 25 years, but any new battery design can take a long time to ensure they are safe for consumers through the development process.
The electric power of cars and the storage of green energy have driven the massive growth of the free-cell manufacturing industry, and it is expected that by 2021, it will increase by 170% from the current 103 GwH capacity to 278 GwH, to meet the needs of automotive electrified.
In addition, lithium batteries will be used for fixed storage of houses;
They will be charged with the presence of wind or sunlight and will be consumed later.
Many people will buy solar and batteries on the roof.
2015 of the world's lithium-ion battery market is worth $18 billion and is expected to double to $36 billion by 2025.
We personally think the number will be much larger.
American and European of car sales more than 30 million A is expected to 2025 20% of car will is electric car.
This will require the battery to produce more than 350 GwH per year.
By 2030, the annual sales of electric vehicles may be around 21 million, with an estimated 70-80-
Millions of electric cars are on the road all over the world.
By the way, China's goal is to have 5-
By 2020, the copper demand for millions of electric vehicles per electric vehicle was about three times that of ordinary cars.
China expects the electric vehicles to need 50,000 tons of copper a year.
Copper prices have been flat recently and are currently at a critical moment related to the trend line.
More than half
The United States is considering more than a dozen Gigabit batteries, and half of them.
There are more than a dozen in Europe, far exceeding the current capacity.
Tesla has set up a plant with a capacity of 35 GwH and plans to grow it to 150 GwH, while northworth is planning to set up a giga plant in Sweden.
This will not be enough to meet the needs of Europe and the United States, so further 50-
100 GwH will be needed on both sides of the Atlantic.
Through Tesla's Powerwall, as well as mercedes's recent announcement to work with vivinint Solar, similar fixed energy storage has been formed and will provide homeowners with the option to capture and store Solar energy and use it when needed.
These repositories will be between 2.
At 5 to 20 KW hours and included in the solar collection board or wooden tile on the roof.
As homeowners transition to a degree of independence from the grid, this will create a greater demand for their components.
The utility provider will also drive this shift as it will pass through-home storage.
Similar industrial uses of solar energy storage are almost unlimited.
Dines letter has long predicted that the growing battery market will have a lot of demand for raw materials.
The key materials are lithium, graphite, cobalt, nickel, copper, silicon and aluminum.
Lithium, cobalt and graphite will be under constant purchase pressure.
Lithium and cobalt are known to most people, but many ignore very high
Graphite, mistakenly treating it as ordinary carbon-
But this is critical to long-term security.
Long-lasting power for electric vehicles to travel at long distances.
Graphite will always be part of the lithium ion battery.
What will be the real debate?
At present, the average value of graphite in Tesla's 85Kw battery pack is about $1,250 (50kg)
Decomposed into $1,200 synthesis (40kg)
And $50 natural (10kg)graphite.
The cost of synthetic graphite is about $30 k per ton.
The cost of natural graphite is close to $10 k per ton.
Ability to reduce raw materials
The material cost of Tesla's battery pack could be $500 per vehicle.
It may not seem like a big savings, but when it comes to nearly 50-
There are 20% new cars each year, with a target of 5 billion electric vehicles, equivalent to about US dollars.
It is also worth noting that the price of lithium for the same Tesla battery pack is $66, the price of cobalt is $851, and the price of nickel is $146 (NMC Battery).
The demand for graphite for 100 GwH will be (round numbers)
600,000 tons, about 4000 million tons of synthetic and 200,000 tons
Pure natural graphite.
To reduce the cost of these inputs, more and more of this graphite will be "natural sheet graphite" if only because it is cheaper.
Who will supply this graphite?
It's not surprising that China controls the battery
As a result, car battery manufacturing is currently unique to Asia.
China has been quietly monopolizing the market for years to meet Dines's strong opposition.
We have not had an impact on the awakening of the government, but we will continue to show firmly that not everything is available in the free market.
China is greedy for a pirated, harmful element monopoly that is not subject to US antitrust control
Americans with disabilities also have the monopoly law.
In this regard, the United States is ruled by unsuspecting financial innocence.
As the "original rare earth bug", we went out of our way to stop China, but unfortunately we didn't get enough support and now China controls 90% of the world's rare earth.
Most politicians do not know what these elements are used to do, but may be shocked to find that without them we cannot build rockets or missiles, which may not be convenient in the war with China.
In fact, even when we were promoting to the media, rare earth producer Molycorp was being auctioned, a proposal that Dines letter sold at a profit of 89% before going bankrupt.
Who is in the bidder? China!
Again ruthlessly take over the elements of the market and buy every such asset while the US dozes.
As the purchase of these items becomes more intense, buyers will respond as usual by putting money into the issue.
But what if China still refuses to sell?
Announcing that these elements will not be sold will be a bitter fruit for the United States.
Who will be blamed? At least we—

Corporate capitalism
A key to the graphite market bull market is that many people now rely on China to produce car batteries.
In September 7, 2010, a collision between the Senkaku Islands caused a conflict. China cut off supplies of rare earths in Japan, which will shut down Japan's auto industry.
Without China's graphite, for example, Tesla would have to shut down its gigabit plant and therefore be at its disposal.
In addition, Europe also needs graphite and leading materials independent of China (LEM)
Within the EU, this is a source that is often overlooked.
According to a study by the European Union, Norway was the next distant source in Europe as of 2016, but the current supply is only 9%.
We will go back to the LEM below.
There are many other primary resource exploration companies that own this carbon asset: the United States, Mozambique, Sweden, Australia, the island of Malaysia, etc.
Most of these primary resource companies usually have only one undeveloped property and only a small amount of drilling holes;
They even need a lot of investment capital and expertise to produce low

In graphite space?
The key physical assets of the LEM are
The Woxna graphite mine and processing facilities in Sweden are large in scale, fully functional and allowed to be used.
The goal of LEM is to produce and sell high using Sweden's existing production capacity and a large amount of resourcesvalue-
Graphite products have been added to the LIB cell manufacturer.
The potential of the LEM is huge because it can increase production capacity to meet the needs of this disruptive emerging industry and has made good progress in the qualification process.
The plant is an actual producer, although it has not been produced yet, it will be able to produce 10,000 tons of flotation per year
Grade graphite concentrate (95%C).
Having mine and processing facilities is a key difference compared to almost all other public graphite companies.
Syrah Resources, an Australian graphite miner, claims to be very close to operation, but this has not yet been confirmed.
All other graphite companies in public space need $50-
It costs $0. 2 billion to build a mine and plant to meet the needs already owned by LEM.
This does not take into account the extra work that others have to do to prove that they can actually produce batteriesMaterial grade (99. 999%C)
Concentrate from flotation.
In a market that is now almost entirely supplied by China, battery manufacturers will certainly seek a diverse supply source.
LEM chose not to produce and sell floating concentrate at marginal or zero profit to enter the current small European market.
Instead, the factory runs in-
Producing a sufficient quantity of flotation concentrate for high-Battery purity-
Material gradetest work.
LEM now has thousands of kilograms of concentrate to use, which allows them to test larger concentrates
Formatted batteries that meet future battery manufacturer qualification expectations.
It is doubtful that any other graphite company has a large amount of graphite concentrate that can produce a large amount of large formattest cells.
A primary miner with only a small amount of drilling
There is not enough material for core samples or a small amount of bulk samples to prove its graphite capability, and battery manufacturers can trust it.
LEM has recently completed the manufacture of a series of battery cells similar to Tesla electric vehicles.
LEM uses a spherical natural height
The purity graphite produced by its Woxna mine is "18650 format lithium ion battery ".
"These batteries are in the same format as Panasonic uses in Tesla battery packs.
Tesla uses 7,104 of these 18650 batteries in one battery pack.
LEM has obtained enough anode material from its high anode material
Purity Graphite, produced 20 of these 18650 batteries for further testing by potential customers.
Moderate capital will be needed to increase
Purity processing capacity.
We don't know that other graphite companies have this capability.
LEM is becoming the first to use this height-
Pursue goods.
No Gigabit factory-
To date, the size of battery manufacturers in Europe.
There are some cell manufacturers that do produce cells on a small scale, but they are not commercially viable.
Europe consumes less than 100 tons of graphite per year.
They currently only use synthetic graphite-more expensive and less eco-friendly-but they can turn into natural flakes when a big manufacturer leads the trend.
LEM is working with future battery manufacturers in Europe to provide a solution to take advantage of more natural flakes at a lower cost and a greener footprint.
LEM may be the only company that is actively pursuing this goal. Our long-
We have had it for some years, which proves the long term recommendation of LEM.
Put a small amount behind the portfolio, or as a gift to a loved one, and forget it a few years later.
We don't remember selling anything, and we don't plan to do it near these low prices.
