Elon Musk of Tesla Motors said on Monday that electric car manufacturers may be working with Toyota again because the two companies completed an initial car project and the results were mixed.
"If you think about it two or three years from now, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a major deal with Toyota and Tesla," Tesla Chief Executive Musk said to reporters in Tokyo on Monday.
While Tesla and Toyota have no clear plans, Musk says the RAV4 electric vehicle project he envisioned is bigger than their deal.
The comments came as the two companies stopped selling jointly developed RAV4 EV after delivering about 2,000 RAV4 EV.
Since the implementation of the project, both companies have taken a different approach and Toyota is now preparing to sell its first fuel --

Toyota spokesman Ryo Sakai said Toyota did not comment on Musk's remarks.
