LONDON, England (CNN)--
Designer Ross Lovegrove takes inspiration from nature and brings beauty to everyday products, and few people think of it: street lights.
Energy-intensive lights, in fact, symbolically, are undergoing a green remodel and may soon sprout on the streets near you.
Lovegrove's innovative lighting project "Sun Tree" is solar energy-
Electric street lamps are also part of modern art, which adds a little natural to the usual gray urban landscape.
He believes that the integration of complex natural forms into cities is beneficial to the whole society.
The "Sun Tree" has a striking green trunk and ten branches with solar panels on them and glows on the streets below.
"It looks very good when the light goes out.
Most other lights have no life when they go out.
I saw more life on an old man sleeping on a park bench, and then I saw more life on some other street lights.
In October 2007, the lights were first co-planted with MAK, the Museum of Applied Art, on the verandah in Vienna, and were well received.
Watch the activities of the Sun tree during its stay in Vienna. In the absence of direct sunlight, the lights are still able to shine after four days, making them an effective form of lighting.
"When we plant trees outside, it's great," Lovey Grove said . ".
"Even if we only have one dry word, it's incredible. it looks so insignificant, but it really stands out, which proves that modern technology and design can really boost people's spirits, because it is a bit out of context, it becomes a notable person.
"The sun tree is just a street light, but in fact, some small things that have a significant impact on our lives can be re-interpreted.
"Since their debut in Austria, the trees have sprouted on some of Europe's most famous streets: La Scala square in Milan, the Champs Elysees in Paris and light 2008 in Frankfurt
But this success is not enough for Lovegrove;
He's already working on the second-generation Sun tree.
A person who gets more inspiration from the perfect design of nature.
It is called "adaptive sun tree" and will be fully automated and will have the function of a robot.
This new design not only imitates real trees, but also sunflowers.
Like a pile of sunflowers, its head is trained on the sun all day, and the adaptive sun tree follows the sun to optimize its energy.
Lovegrove Studios specifically told CNN about their new project: "The branches will follow the sun, respond and adapt to the building environment, escape the shadows, and follow the sun to optimize energy revenue.
"When the sun goes down, the Sun tree will return to its original position, sending a full spectrum of light to the streets and pedestrians below.
The new tree will also be able to react to different weather conditions, for example, branches will gather together if the wind is too big.
Lovegrove also wants to integrate air purification bubbles into the new tree so that they can clean the surrounding air like a real tree.
Christina Werner, director of the project in Vienna, said: "In the near future, the Sun tree is likely to become the main form of European street lamps. " The award-
The award-winning Welsh designer has always had a close relationship with nature, which can be seen not only in the "sun tree" but also in many of his other designs.
Lovegrove sees himself as a designer and evolutionary biologist.
"One of the clues to our future survival is biological concepts.
We study natural imitation, learn from its wisdom, and copy it in one way or another.
"Lovegrove's exploration of nature inspired design does not end with" adaptive sun tree ":" What you see at MAK is just the beginning of all the other visions I like for solar assisted trains.
"Nature has always been an important part of my work.
"I have never seen it as a trend or fashion," he said . ".
"This is the foundation of life.
Nature has a magic power over it.
