Solar power plans have been developed to meet the growing demand for electricity in cities. A 100-

The company has been trying to install solar street lights since 2011.
It has installed three solar lights in Rajiv Gandhi Park near Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS)
On the basis of experiments
As part of the Solar City project, it is planned to switch to solar street lights in the slums.
The city is one of the 60 cities selected to participate in the project.
Officials expect solar street lights to become real estate by January 2012.
On the basis of the pilot, it is planned to transform a street lamp in a hilly area of a town into a solar street lamp.
