Solar energy will soon meet the power needs of Chennai's 3,500 buildings.
There are two civil institutions-
Deadline for installation of solar panels in all buildings.

A few months ago, civic groups launched a pilot project in four of Chennai's 15 regional offices.
It built six solar power plants for rupees.

The civic body has sought guidance from the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Authority in relation to specifications and specifications.
