The province said it would not follow Alberta's lead in cutting oil production, as Prime Minister Rachel nortelly pushed ahead with cabinet measures on Monday, proposing an 8. 7 per cent cut.
To address the brutal oil price differences, Alberta producers will cut by about 325,000 barrels per day next year.
Western Canada Select (WCS) andxa0xa0Intermediate Crude Oil (WTI) has fluctuated in recent weeks, reaching around $45 a barrel.
Some 25 Alberta producers are expected to be affected by the cuts until 35 million barrels of oil currently stored are shipped out of the province.
"We have contacted the province of SA and made it clear what we are doing," nortelly responded to UCP leader Jason Kenny's call on the united front during a question on Monday.
"It would be great if they joined us.
But the province's prime minister, Scott Mo, said his province would not join the cause.
However, he promised to work with industry in order not to undermine efforts in Alberta.
Saskatchewan told reporters in Regina that Saskatchewan felt the impact of the difference "to a large extent.
"But, based on the advice we have received from the industry, cutting spending in the province will not work.
He said that given the lack of consensus among industry insiders on whether the province should intervene, nortelly's decision was brave.
The Ministry of Education says the market in the province is very different from its neighbors.
"Saskatchewan does not have the oil sands that are actively produced, and the products we produce are more diverse.
In addition, of the oil produced in the province, it is about a series of light and medium-quality oil, "he said in a statement.
Nortelly's cabinet met Monday to approve measures to temporarily cut oil supplies.
The Minister of Energy will have the authority to set the monthly level and the system will be developed by the Alberta Energy Regulatory Authority (AER.
"Albertans know that decisive action is needed during special periods," said nortelly . " He took the opportunity to attack Ottawa for not intervening.
"We don't actually need the sympathy of Ottawa.
We need full attention from Ottawa.
We need them to come forward and help us end this crisis.
The province said: "Producers produce more than 190,000 barrels of crude oil and asphalt per day than they have shipped from Alberta.
The cut will initially reduce the oversupply by 325,000 barrels/day, but eventually after the excess storage runs out, the figure will fall to 95,000 barrels/day.
The plan will end on December.
On the 31st, 2019, the difference is expected to be reduced by at least $4/barrel compared with the original level.

If the province decides to cut oil, it will not change Alberta's way forward, Boyd said.
"They are a much smaller industry," she told reporters . "
"I don't want to guess why they don't do it, I don't know why.
Nortelly has repeatedly said that the construction of the pipeline is the only long pipeline.
Reduce the term solution of differential.
"Canadians understand that what is happening to us now is financial and financial madness," she said . ".
Residents of Alberta's Industrial hub are frustrated while waiting for the pipeline, says Don Scott, mayor of Woodborough.
He praised the province's market intervention as a necessary step.
"Obviously, I would prefer no intervention," he said in an interview . ".
"In the end, I think everyone thinks the pipeline is the real solution.
"People want to see action on the ground," he said . ".
