Residents angry as electricity battery facility gets green light - battery storage systems

Ballydesmond felt "huge disappointment and anger" about Kerry County Council's decision to approve a planning permission for a battery storage facility that can store up to 40 battery units, ballynahulla's Transformers and related equipment.

The submission to KCC also states that the proposed development will "help Ireland to meet its European and international obligations in providing a safe, sustainable power system . ".
"With respect to the noise of the proposed development, it was noted that, according to the assessment, the battery storage unit was below the typical day and night noise standard applicable to operations of this nature.
