Real estate agent Carter Jonas did not miss a chance to dig out local planners who were not on their side in terms of energy storage systems.
Commenting on the government's plan to streamline the planning of such systems, CJ's planning and energy expert Alison Chesham said: "We welcome this and the government plans to invest £ 0. 246 billion in the industry, as we have seen, they are critical to making energy storage a successful part of the country's energy system.
"We have felt the limitations of the planning system and the lack of understanding by local planning authorities in developing energy storage plans.
We are currently helping our customers with the feasibility and planning of many energy storage developments, including battery storage solutions and demand-side responses.
"The review is expected to make it easier for us to develop storage systems in the right locations on behalf of our customers and ultimately help ensure that the UK's energy systems continue to operate safely and economically.
"The release of the business unit, the paper on energy and industrial strategy," upgrading our energy system-smart systems and flexibility plan for July 2017 ", assesses how the UK energy system adapts to new technologies such as making the most of energy storage, to reduce energy consumption and create new business and employment opportunities.
