UdupiProject: a second-year student from the Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Technology and Management, Bantakal SMV developed a program called "solar energy-
As part of the sponsorship program, smart base lighting systems that power remote rural areas ".
The main purpose of the project is to provide an intelligent street light system powered by solar energy for the entire village.
The project aims to source energy from renewable sources such as solar energy and make effective use of harvested energy for the benefit of remote villages facing serious power problems.
The use of the word "smart" is because the system not only powers street lamps, but also detects the direction of movement of pedestrians and helps them by illuminating the path of movement.
By integrating all street lights with the smart street light system, pedestrians in remote rural areas can be systematically helped to reach their destination.
The same system can also be used for home lighting, because it works by sensing the thermal features of the human body, "turning on" or "off" the light, so as to make effective use of electricity.
The project is sponsored by the science and technology vision group (VGST)
IT, BT and science and technology department of Karnataka government.
The student implementing this program is Pranav P. Rao, S. R.
