Power Minister Chandrashekhar Bavankule informed that the state government will publish the state's first ever solar policy, which will serve as an alternative source of energy in addition to the provision of solar pumps for agricultural purposes.
He said that the state has begun to provide five lakh solar water pumps for agricultural purposes, so that it can save a lot of the cost of providing electricity subsidies to farmers.
Bavankule informed that the state will enforce the installation of solar panels in all government buildings and introduce the installation of solar led (
LEDs)
Used for street lamps, thereby reducing power consumption on a large scale.
He also said that since Maharashtra receives nearly 310 days of sunshine each year, the solar energy policy will encourage the use of alternative energy devices and promote the use of solar energy.
The resource has not yet been developed and the country will use it to reduce coal, he said.
Energy consumption is achieved by promoting the use of solar energy.
The minister said the solar policy will provide important solar parks to encourage individual solar power generation.
He advised that anyone with a small piece of land could generate electricity by installing solar panels that could be purchased by state or local agencies for various purposes.
The solar energy generated through this private solar park will reduce the burden on traditional energy consumption, he said.
Bavankule says private buildings can also install solar panels after government buildings force solar panels.
This can also be done, he said, and only with the installation of a Solar Fountain can a building permit be obtained.
The Minister informed that the solar policy will be released on February 24.
