I recently learned that only one of us responded to the news of global warming through practical actions.
I have a suggestion if you want to help but don't know how to help.
As convenient as your backyard or apartment balcony: simply plant a garden in the bed or container in the yard.
The following are: bring back birds: many songbirds and Raptors (
Not the basketball team! )
The number of butterflies in Canada is decreasing.
Try putting some citrus fruit and cut it in half to attract the Baltimore Orioles (
Not a baseball team! ).
Or make a banana into an old tea tray and place it near a butterfly.
Insects and songbirds like to nest in open spaces where they can nest, mate, spawn and form families.
Raptors are another thing.
They prefer mice and (sadly)
Birds as food.
We can use rats and wild rats.
As for other birds hunted by raptors, this is the wild animal.
Jody Allen, a biologist and scientific educator at the Canadian bird research company, told me that you have Raptors near you, indicating a healthy population of rodents.
Nature has her own way to balance these things. if we learn one thing, it is not to mess with her.
Ask the Australians that their land is full of rabbits because some people think it is a good idea to introduce them to the country, although there are no natural predators to control their population.
Absorb the rain: there was a lot of rain in the past spring and early summer.
When the excess rain comes out of your property, it takes a lot of toxins away.
The rain brings all kinds of problems to our city.
You can build a rain garden to help.
Dig a deep depression in your yard where the rain drains or transfers the rain to the existing depression in your yard.
Plant "marginal" plants in this area that thrive in wet soil and can endure the drying of summer.
Some of these plants include water iris, swampy longevity chrysanthemum, many native ferns, bergenia and Ma.

Yes, I'm telling.
See how.
Planting trees: TD Bank group and nature conservation Canada have recently done a study to determine that an acre of forest can provide important environmental services up to $18,000, such as reducing floods, air pollution and carbon storage.
Again: While you may not have an acre of land to grow, growing a tree has a great impact on the environment.
Mentally, for us, we are more relaxed when we are with them --
Picnics in the cool shade are much better than picnics in your driveway.
Don't worry about it: Resist the temptation to disinfect your garden.
Let the leaves rot on the ground.
Let some firewood rot in your yard and accommodate beneficial insects.
Building an insect hotel and a still life
Water Gardens to enhance biodiversity nearby.
When you improve the quality of the environment in your own yard, the whole community will benefit.
Remember: rot and rot are your friends.
When a tree is dead, cut it down and leave some of it on the ground to rot.
Insects, microorganisms and even small rodents will help it contribute to tomorrow's garden by breaking down the organic material it uses to produce new soil.
I hate people who blow leaves.
But I don't hate them the same. An 18-
Volt lithium ion charging model is 2-more than screaming for nerves, environment, our ears and neighbors-cycle blowers.
Did you notice the users of gasoline?
Electric Hair dryer wearing ear protection?
What about people nearby? Just asking.
With the latest advances in charging battery technology, now is a good time to make switches.
Look for rechargeable mower, hedge trimmer or even chain saw.
This is what I call progress.
Finally, when I talk about power equipment, can we keep only one day a week for a clean noise environment?
I prefer Sunday.
But I'm not picky.
