New Delhi: Taiwan 2-
On Monday, Wheeler and power sports brand Kymco (Kwang Yang Motor Co) announced a partnership with 22 Motors, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, to offer electric vehicle solutions to India.
At the beginning of the joint venture, 22 Kymco also introduced the battery management and charging system "ionex", which allegedly made the charging process for electric vehicles much easier than ever.
The alliance aims to provide an intuitive, convenient and stylish scooter experience for Indian customers, the new company said in a statement.
Kymco's Ionex is an advanced lithium-
Battery, portable charger and charging station. The two-
Wheeler using the system will be equipped with two batteries, one core or fixed battery and one removable battery.
Although the core battery of the system can be charged through the plug
In the scooter charger, the removable battery can be charged separately.
One can easily remove the battery from the seat, use the Ionex charging station to leave the battery to charge, or put the battery in his/her home or office and charge it with a portable charger.
This waterproof Ionex battery weighs only 5 kilograms and is charged for less than an hour.
One can leave the removable battery in the Ionex charging tower while continuing to commute with the core battery and taking the charging battery back when returning.
For the sake of safety, each battery has a special bar code so that it doesn't swap with someone else's battery.
Again, with a portable charger that can stay at home or anywhere else to charge, rider con continues to commute with core batteries.
"While Ionex enables consumers to use electricity without compromise, businesses and governments need to provide reliable solutions for charging stations, removable batteries and related IT support systems before choosing electric vehicles, kymco chairman Allen Ko said.
"Ionex motorcial will provide a comprehensive package for all businesses and governments to enhance their capabilities and enable them to adopt quality electric vehicles.
"The first product to use this new charging concept will be the 22 flow rates introduced at the Auto Expo in February, with a price tag of RS 74,740 (ex-
Delhi showroom ).
Although the booking of the motorcycle started with the release, the delivery has not yet started and is expected to start next year.
Said on the 22nd, the new flow will get a core or backup battery range of 20 kilometers, while the rest of the specifications will remain the same.
When the electric scooter was launched, it is said that it can provide 80 kilometers of mileage for a single charge, with a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
The model also features such as LED headlights, digital meter sets, and disc brakes.
The company announced that the updated traffic will be available at 22 Kymco experience stores in New Delhi starting early
2019, followed by Gurgaon, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore.
