Mass-market plug-
KLD Energy technology has only been around for three years at the auto show, but it thinks it's time for a revolution.
KLD said that its updated electric motor and battery pack OneDrive can be from 3-kilowatt-
Hour battery pack for normal motor from 5-1kWh pack.
How is the new motor made?
One drive uses the same 18650-sized lithium-ion cells(
Basically laptop battery)
As Tesla's Model S, its battery is another type.
KLD said that the power battery it uses is more similar to the power battery used by the hybrid car than the energy battery used by other plug-in cars
In the automotive system
The design of the power battery has a lower resistance, allowing them to discharge faster while generating less heat.
This is suitable for hybrid cars, which can cycle through the battery pack in a few tens of thousands of narrow charging ranges.
The start also changed the motor design, using permanent
Permanent magnet brushless motor with amorphous metal for stator.
Unlike other metals, amorphous metals cannot retain magnetic fields.
This means that they will stick to the magnet, but no residual magnetism will be retained when separated from the magnet.
The use of this material in the motor stator also reduces resistance and improves efficiency, KLD said.
There is also no solid ring magnet in the stator of the motor;
Instead, they are installed separately like pie slices (
Looks a bit like "inside"
Start the wheel motor used by the protein.
This allows KLD to adjust the power output of the motor for a given application.
On the other hand, the company's rotor is larger than the one used by most electric vehicles, which effectively reduces the motor speed to achieve low speed operation.
This eliminates the need for efficiency.
The deceleration gear is worn, KLD said.
So far, KLD has only managed to put one drive into a small demo chassis and into the small utility car Kombi City manufactured by Cenntro Motors.
If it is as revolutionary as KLD claims, there is no doubt that major automakers have taken a lot of steps.
Will we see it completely? size cars?
