Electronic foil is the core material of the current collector that constitutes the cathode of the electric vehicle battery.
With the production of The Kuching plant, the annual electronic foil production of irkin materials will jump from 25,000 tons per year to 15,000 tons, or increase by nearly 70%.

Huh Qingui, chairman of the group, said that in 1978, Ilkin began to develop electronic foil, which is an essential core material for the development of the electronic and information technology industry.
He said that in 1987, the company successfully produced electronic foils in South Korea for the first time.

With the operation of the Iljin materials plant, exports from the Sama Jaya free industrial zone will be boosted from rm4, Johari said. 6bil in 2018.
Last year, the park's exports were 43% higher than rm3's. 2bil in 2017.
The park is home to multinational companies mainly from the United States, Japan, Europe and China.
"These companies have invested more than 12 yuan in culture.
In 2018, the annual salary paid to the labor force by Sama Jaya alone was RM460mil.

The companies employ about 11,800 people, 98, Johari said.
