Power tools have been getting better and better, which is good news for every homeowner who has built or renovated a house.
What is surprising is the degree of improvement.

The Volt reciprocating saw is a good example.
Gore Bay Fire Department is responsible for saving people trapped in car accidents in rural Ontario, but limited funds have prevented them from investing in hydraulic claws for traditional life-rescue equipment.
Can be professional-
Class cordless reciprocating saw handles the challenge of fast cutting open vehicles to save people trapped inside firefighters. A training session last fall proved that these tools could be used for rescue work.
In fact, when installing the right blades, the speed and operability of these saws even exceeds the heavy hydraulic rescue unit in some parts of the training course.
Manual reciprocating saw-

The cutting tool is used in the demolition phase of the home decoration task, but the different recip saws are very different in the efficiency of their work these days.
For years, even the best models have been slow and heavy.
Some of the old designs left a lot to be improved, but the new recip saw model has also been greatly improved.
That's what some firefighters think.
The effectiveness of this new type of reciprocating saw comes from three advances.
First, today's lithium
Ion batteries are much better than previous nickel-cadmium batteries.
Not only lithium-
The ion has more energy, but it also holds energy for a longer time on the shelf.
You can buy a lithium battery.
The ion cordless power tool has not been charged for several months and it will work with almost full power.
Nicad's battery is dead.
The second reason why modern cordless tools work so well is the brushless motor design.
Compared to conventional motors used in cordless tools, these motors last longer, and the brushless motor extracts more work from the battery pack of a given size.
What is more efficient is brushless.
The third reason why the previous saw works so well today is the blade technology.
The Recip saw blade is much better than before, especially in cutting metal.
Home fitting and removal work usually involves cutting wood, but wood that is usually supported with nails and screws.
Metal pipes are never far away.
Ten years ago, the recip saw had no good effect on any kind of metal, even strange deck screws.
The situation is very different today.
I'm not sure what the new metallurgical manufacturer has found, but the best recip blades today are fantastic.
I even use them a lot to cut 1/4.
When I make things in metal in my own shop, inch steel plate.
Members of the Gore Bay Fire Department know that a high-speed car accident is something they need to deal.
Their area is the most concentrated area of deer in Ontario, which is also the cause of many serious car accidents.
A local auto repair shop estimated that its work was related to the deer collision.
When the fire brigade used the Milwaukee saw to practice cutting garbage vehicles at the scrap yard, they found the best metal --
The cutting blade quickly chews around the roof, support posts, and doors.
These tools are small in size, light in weight and especially flexible to use.
While the best cordless receiving saw today makes sense for any small fire department, this is not the main story.
What's really important is that today's best cordless tools are easier than ever to make good things happen in your own home.
