General Electric (GE -Get Report)
According to an internal email from Bill Lacey, CEO of General Electric lighting, obtained by EdisonReport, the company confirmed on Thursday that it has officially started "discussing the proposed sales of the company's lighting business unit with buyers"net.
GE Lighting later confirmed that Lacey had sent an email.
The email stressed that the discussion was just beginning and that GE Lighting "could consider several strategic options.

However, the US-based multinational enterprise group confirmed that its current business unit is not for sale.
GE shares fell 0. 2% to $27.
