A troubled British Energy minnow, after reaching an agreement with the Norwegian national power giant, will install its power storage technology and solar panels among businesses across the UK.
According to RedT Energy, the deal with Statkraft means it will install a "vanadium redox flow" machine capable of storing up to 60 MW
Total energy hours-
Equivalent to the daily electricity demand of 6,000 households.
Over the next three years, storage will be available to businesses along with solar panels capable of generating up to 100 MW of power.
Statkraft will fund these facilities in exchange for businesses that sign long-term agreements
It claims that the regular electricity purchase agreement will save the company up to the cost of electricity.
