The installed camera is used to capture the public space in Montreal, and the resulting panoramic images will be used for Google Street View.
A map of the five locations will be drawn: the area surrounding the royal park, the lafandane Park, the Lalonde, the old port and the Olympic Stadium.

Over the next five weeks, Galipeau and other coolo360 photographers will start and pause recording using an Android smartphone and monitor images as they move.
The device is equipped with 15 cameras, battery packs and enough disc space to take images for four hours.
Google will stitch the photos together later.

Fafard said pictures of Montreal are expected to be embedded in Google Street View this fall.
Tivo360 has 12 employees in Montreal, and because of the Google loan program, tivo360 borrowed Trekker for five weeks, with organizations around the world helping to collect images under the program.
The company is working on volunteer projects to help promote its business, including taking photos for creating virtual visits to restaurants and shops.
Fafard says the coolo360 is also experimenting with drone photography that can be used to promote resorts and golf courses.
