electricity harvested from radio waves could power the smart home of the future - energy storage devices

A new approach to getting electricity from never-used radio waves was announced today by Lord Paul Drayson, former science minister and chief executive of Drayson Technologies at the Royal Institution in London.

Lord delasen, who served as Minister of Science from 2008 to 2010, said that for many years, the company has been working hard on how to get energy from WiFi, cellular and broadband networks, however, radio waves can only provide a small amount of energy, so it is difficult to achieve high enough efficiency.
Freevolt harvesters use more
With an antenna to collect energy from multiple radio frequency sources at the same time at different frequencies and in almost any direction, increasing the energy that Freevolt can produce. Freevolt-

"What we are doing is taking advantage of this fact for very small low powerenergy devices.
Radio frequency transmission comes from the wireless network, and as our demand for information increases, the amount of data we want to transmit increases exponentially, so this has been growing.
"The output of the Freevolt system can be entered into many energy storage devices-today it is a battery for most electronic devices, but other options may be included in the future, such as the Super Batterycapacitor.
The first commercial application of Freevolt technology is a clean space label air sensor that monitors air pollution (Carbon monoxide)
And feed this data back to the smartphone app, allowing users to see exactly what they're breathing no matter where they are.
This data can also be anonymized and merged with current air pollution data for static sensors installed across the UK to create a detailed map of the national air quality, and identify the cleanest routes and areas available.
