There are three basic types of deep cycle batteries: standard wet batteries, absorbing glass pads, and gel batteries. The rated power of the battery is determined by the number of times they are fully charged and discharged. In most cases, the average rating is about 300 cycles. The cycle is the number of times the battery is fully discharged to fully charged. Many deep cycle batteries are sealed and therefore it is not possible to monitor the level.Electronic chargers are required for all deep cycle batteries. The electronic charger monitors the voltage and current input to the battery.Wear safety glasses during disassembly, cleaning and charging.Remove the battery from the equipment it repairs. If the device is connected to the battery, the charger gives the wrong reading when it is powered on, damaging the device, the battery and the charger.Put the battery on a solid surface in the wellVentilation area.During charging, the battery releases highly explosive hydrogen.Clean the lead of the battery with a steel brush.Remove all foreign accumulation from the battery connection. The result must be the shiny metal color of the lead terminal.Open the top cover of the wet battery-Type deep cycle battery if applicable. Not all wet batteries have access to the internal battery.Check the level.Do not add water if the level is higher than the internal panel. If the plates are exposed, please add enough water to cover them.Use only deep cycle battery chargers made for your battery type.Read the top tab of the correct type on the battery. The wet battery deep cycle battery charger cannot be used with the absorbed glass mat or gel battery type. Please consult the manufacturer's specifications.Connect the red charger connector to the positive () terminal on the battery.Fix the black charger connector to the negative pole of the battery (-) terminal.Plug the charger into the wall socket.Observe two lights on the surface of the charger. The red LED light indicates charging. The green LED indicator indicates a power supply to the wall socket. If any of these lights flash, there will be a problem. Please consult the manufacturer's instructions for the battery charger to determine the problem. Each manufacturer uses a different code to diagnose the problem. After the red light goes off, unplug the charger from the wall socket.Remove all connections from the charger.Check the internal level of the wet battery deep cycle battery.Heat it with distilled water. The final level in each unit opening must be slightly lower than the internal plastic ring.Replace the battery into the device.
