"Daylight" can refer to many different things.
It can refer to light of a specific mass.
It also means dawn or day.
More abstract, it can describe how facts are brought to the surface, an insight into fuzzy understanding, or a little light that is almost difficult to distinguish between two things.
But when it comes to Daylight, many of us think about it.
It was a lucky holiday for farmers, and the clock "fell back", allowing many to have breakfast early and then start industrialized work during the newly acquired daylight hours.
Instead, when the clock is "ahead", it provides children with the safety of daylight on their way home from school.
An additional benefit that was not considered initially is that daylight savings are also energy-relatedefficiency. Twenty-
5% of the electricity we use is used to operate modern amenities and all the high-tech "things" in our lives, as well as to see what lighting we are doing.
So just by adjusting the hours before or after an hour twice a year, we actually minimize the amount of power consumed in those times.
In a perfect world, when we cut zzz. . .
Most of us will shut down all unused energy zap--
Unplug the computer, TV, mobile phone charger, etc.
However, not every individual or family has the same energy needs, or has the same level of comfort in the case of limiting energy use.
For example, I usually go to bed at 10: 00
My partner and I stayed up late to watch any political activity, including the presidential debate. blah-
The authoritative coverage before and after, then replays Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
We all use different sources of energy, just like most families with more than one person, although the electricity that is not used due to daylight savings may seem small, adding up, one family, the office picks up the office, street lights pick up street lights. . .
In general, it can increase energy savings and carbon emissions.
While this is not enough to eliminate all the environmental damage that has already been done, for those individuals who want to contribute to saving our planet, this is another tool in the library of individual action steps.
However, what most people don't know is that in many of his other brilliant achievements, the same person who wrote "Fart Proudly, "founder Benjamin Franklin was actually the first person to recommend daylight in 1784.
However, it is not until many times
Later, in fact, it was finally authorized during the First World War.
But, Franklin did see for the first time the actual aspect of an hour disappearing here and another hour being realized there. Who knows. . .
Over the weekend before election day, it may even affect the rest of the time that lights up some light for the Obama or McCain campaign.
To paraphrase Barack Obama's clever words: "Like George Bush, John McCain wants to continue to move on to oil companies, CEOs and
Allow insurance companies to discriminate against tax medical benefits for people who need health care most;
Privatization of social security;
Further reduce government regulation of enterprises. . .
When it comes to policies that are important to middle-class families, there is no sunshine between George Bush and John McCain.
"Like Bush, McCain has no plans on how to get our troops out of Iraq and into Afghanistan that needs them most. (If the Bee-
Gees had to write a campaign song for McCain/Palin that sounded like "ah, ah, ah. . .
Stay in Iraq, stay in Iraq. ")
Franklin also said that "the penny saved is the penny earned" and the cost of staying in Iraq has not saved anything --
It's not the day, it's not the life of our brave soldiers, it's not our moral standing in the world. . . nothing.
In the spring, Daylight means we advance the clock.
We move them back in autumn. . . .
Some call it a fall.
If John McCain wins in November 4, it feels more like getting blocked!
