For the third year in a row, thieves stole a man's Christmas light for his disabled brother in southern Adelaide.
Last night, a Christmas grinch stole the decorative lights from a house in Morphett Vale.
Just a few hours after they started.
Most of the time on Tuesday, thousands of bulbs were installed at home, but later that evening he only returned home from karaoke and found that the $70 solar light had been taken away.
"We had this happen last year and the year before, and that's enough," he said . ".
"We put them there for everyone to enjoy Christmas, so it's a shame that people think our light show is their Christmas shopping.
"It's really frustrating.
"Ben, who has decorated his family home for about 10 years with a 300-meter lamp, said the recent theft had crashed his disabled brother.
"He liked the lights and we used to go to lobesar when we were kids," he said . ".
"It brings a smile to people's faces, but when this happens, it turns the smile upside down.
The message he gave to Green, who stole Christmas, was: "Give me back the lights if you can . ".
Ben asked not to publish his last name and street, and he also wanted to warn other residents of vigilance with Christmas lights and pay attention to any strange behavior.
"I 've put it on various groups on Facebook and told people to realize that their lights might be stolen, especially if they're solar," he said . ".
"I will also consider putting a mailbox for all the people who show the lights this year.
"The theft has been reported to the police and Ben said it will not stop him from lighting more lights in the future.
