-An advanced battery manufacturer says it plans to launch commercial production of lithium for cars-
Ion batteries in Western Michigan in July.

South Korean company LG Chem's subsidiary announced on Sunday night that the Dutch plant had started trial operation and was expected to ship by the end of the summer.
The factory will initially produce batteries for GM.
The company said Chevrolet Volt production is expected to increase according to the electricity market and additional contracts.
The company says it is working to expand production in the future.
Sain Park, president of LGCMI, said in a statement: "LGCMI is still committed to achieving our vision for the construction of facilities in the Netherlands . ".
LG Chem drew attention at the 2010 groundbreaking ceremony when President Obama traveled to Michigan for the event.
LG Chem originally planned to install five assembly lines in the Netherlands, and three lines have been set up so far.
The company said it plans to complete the remaining two lines by September 2015 and will continue to implement the plan as it looks at market demand and other circumstances.
Park said: "Our plan is to operate the Michigan plant as a strategic location to meet the needs of our customers, to ensure future orders, and . . . . . . Positive competition in the battery market.
On February, LG Chem said it had repaid $842,000 in funding, which federal officials said was part of a $0. 15 billion stimulus package and was abused. A U. S.
