California wants the sun to power homes day and night.
A measure was signed by the government.
Jerry Brown, the country has made a clean promise of $0. 8 billion
Energy technologies including home storage.
The goal is to capture the power generated by solar panels during the day to help keep the lights on after the sun goes down.
These funds have increased national incentives for energy storage to more than $1 billion.
Rebate funds can be used in residential and commercial systems, including schools, farms and businesses.
"We want to make sure that everyone with rooftop solar has an energy storage system," said Scott Weiner, a Democratic senator from San Francisco who supported the bill.
"Once you have a rebate plan that the industry knows for years, the industry will invest and innovate.
"According to the California Solar and Storage Association, a trade group, homeowners can expect to pay about $4,500 for a typical installed battery system.
That number is out-of-
$3,500 in state tax rebates and pocket money after a $2,000 federal tax credit.
