BP is preparing to store wind power later this year by building a new project using Tesla technology, taking the first step toward a battery power boom.
The oil superpower will work with the world's largest battery storage company to build a pilot project next to the Titan Wind Project in South Dakota.
According to British standards, the 25 MW wind farm is relatively small and will supplement the power stored by Tesla's battery, which can generate 840 kw k when its energy capacity is 212
The project is expected to be launched in the second half of 2018 to help BP's growing U. S. wind power portfolio become more reliable.
BP has 13 wind farms in the UK. . .
