Just four months ago, a young woman bought a brand new iPhone 7, which she claimed exploded on her bedside table this week.
The woman, named Yin, from Suqian city, East China's Jiangsu province, said she was charging her matte black iPhone 7 in her bedroom when she heard the explosion.
The incident was chilling, and millions of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones were recalled after several devices overheated and caught fire.
However, the iPhone may explode due to some specific issues with a particular device, charger or power supply.
Quote Yin said: "My phone is dead, so I put it on the bedside table to charge.
"I went out for a walk and heard an explosion when I got home.
Then I realized it was my phone.
"From the photo taken by Yin, it seems to be lithium.
The ion polymer battery in her expensive device exploded and the whole phone burned.
She brought the phone.

Staff at Apple's official service station confirmed that her iPhone was legal and not tampered.
