A supplier's battery crashed some models of its small iPod Nano digital music player, said Tuesday.
The company's written statement was in response to a report by the Japanese government that said two iPod Nanos were overheating in Tokyo, paper burning nearby, and straw weaving.

In very rare cases, nannanos was sold between September 2005 and December 2006.
The company's statement added, "there are no reports of serious injuries or damage to property, and no accident reports of any other iPod Nano model.

Yoshitsune Hiroyuki, an official with Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, said the Japanese government has been working with Apple to investigate three cases of overheating when a separate ipod is charged.

Apple did not immediately reply to the phone and asked about the name of the company that produced the iPod battery.
Yoshitsune declined to give the name of the supplier.
No one was injured in two Tokyo incidents disclosed on Tuesday.

Both music players, he said, are deformed by high temperatures and become unusable.
The latest issue is that the Japanese government is also releasing a similar report on the spark of the iPod Nano.
