So you already have LED or Neon lights, but you're a little confused right now about where the neon lights and wires go inside all the cars, "Don't be afraid, we will show all the "in & out" of this installation and the easiest way to install it.
It is a good idea to disconnect the battery before installing any car light accessories.
You can do this by disconnecting the negative battery cable and placing it on one side of the battery, which does not touch any part of the body.
It is also wise to have your vehicle service manual handy for details of the electrical system on your vehicle.
For indoor car lights, the best position to install an LED or neon tube is under the dashboard on both sides of your foot go, but high enough to avoid kicking the tube or damaging the tube.
There are plenty of other places where you can fit them and their location is limited only by your imagination.
To operate the lights manually, you need a switch located near you, so you need to buy a simple "two-way switch" switch (
Or use the switch that comes with the neon/led tube kit)
From your nearest custom auto parts store.
Insert this switch (in-line with)
Supply the main power cord of the 12 volt power supply for the kit.
Select if you want your in-car light to turn on automatically when the current light is on, or if you want to control the light separately with the "toggle" switch.
If you want the neon or LED lights to light automatically when the headlights are turned on, then you need to find a wire under the dashboard near the steering column.
This wire you are looking for is usually red or yellow, it provides 12 v power supply for the "headlights control switch"
You have to "access" this wire to light-
Turn on your neon lights when the current light is on.
If you want to be able to control the lights in the car separately from the headlights ,(best option)
There are two ways you can do this. . . 1)
The power cord can be connected directly to the front of the car's battery, or. . . 2)
It can be connected to any 12 v power cord from below the dashboard.
If you choose to access the power cord from behind the dashboard to power your in-car headlights, you will also need to purchase the "circuit tester" from the nearest custom auto parts store "--
They only spent about $10.
Using this tester is simple, it looks like a pen with a ground wire hanging on it, there is a clip at the end of the wire, it has a globe in the middle or end of the pen, it lights up when you find power somewhere.
Complete the "circuit" of interior lighting "-
All you need to do now is connect the ground wire coming out of the led or neon tube to the vehicle chassis.
You can do this to the ground wire on the tester as described above
Anywhere under the dashboard with bare steel, always a good earth connection for your in-car lights, even if you find a screw under the dashboard that screws into the bare steel, and it holds another wire as the Earth, and you can also use it as the location of the Earth.
The control panel ground wire needs to be firmly screwed to the vehicle chassis or any "ground wire" to complete the power circuit.
After your "power" and "Earth" connections are complete, neon lights inside your car should now be working.
If they look dull and not bright then be sure to check if your ground and power connections are good.
That's it. you're all done.
Now all you have to do is put any plastic plates you may have removed back in place and pack your tools, then set out to show your friends what a good look you just created in your carEnjoy!
