Amara Raja Battery Co. , Ltd. , a US-based battery manufacturer, announced on Tuesday that net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2018 fell by 2%, compared with 131 rupees in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, compared with 134 rupees in the same period.
Although FY19 Net income rose 9% in the third quarter to RS 1,695, compared with RS 1,553 in the same period last year.
Commenting on the results, Vijayanand, CEO of Amara Raja Battery Co. , Ltd. said, "The growth in the number of automotive sectors and the steady demand in the industrial sector and the softening of lead prices help to achieve better profits in quarterly order.
Our capacity expansion projects are on schedule as expected, and we are better prepared to meet the future needs of the entire product segment.
