A 10-hour north of Issa, located on the border between Queensland and the northern region, is a remote community with 30 people living.
The town has just installed the solar panels of AllGrid Energy, a local company that offers energy solutions to remote indigenous communities.
Ray Pratt, CEO and director of AllGrid Energy, said, "I think we see greater opportunities and greater demands for Energy independence in remote areas.
"The electricity supply in these towns depends on diesel generators-an expensive and unreliable source of energy.
By replacing generators with solar systems and battery storage, these small communities can save a lot of money.
Dean Stehling said, "If you consider your own bill, it's usually diesel, so if we can reduce the cost by more than 50%, it's about five times the cost you pay, give them a better way of life, just as you don't have to go and get diesel all the time, making life easier for everyone.
"Not all power grids work in the solar sector.
They also studied the water purification system and negotiated with a Canadian telecom company to provide telephone coverage to communities.
Pratt and steeling have worked in the energy sector for years before deciding to join forces.
As an Aboriginal business owner, Pratt combines his knowledge of Aboriginal communities with Stehling's industry experience in creating all grid Energy.
Start as a side thing
18 months later, the business of the other energy business of the two expanded to 12 full-time employees.
Pratt often works in Darwin, and steeling works at AllGrid energy headquarters in Brisbane, and the close communication between them bears witness to the company's growing pains.
"It's one thing to do your own thing in your own business, working with partners --
Totally different.
It's kind of like a marriage.
"You really have to keep open communication and trust with each other," Pratt said . ".
The distance between Brisbane and Darwin may be far away, but working in communities hundreds of kilometers from the nearest town also has its own challenges.
"Stupid things like getting inventory to a place where there is no good road, you need a truck to get out.
Every aspect you usually see, when you're nowhere to go, it's just 10 times as difficult.
As a result, AllGrid Energy also trains locals to install and maintain their services as contractors.
It not only eliminates the need for the AllGrid team to keep on the road, but also provides great career opportunities for the community.
Returns are clearly greater than challenges.
One of the most important town revives they have pioneered is the Munungurra community, which has grown from 2 to 40.
"They now have 15 children in the air School.
So now they have two complete
Now, they are also thinking about doing some agricultural work.
So this community really has
"It really has a chance to regenerate," Pratt said . ".
"It's very positive when you go to the community and see the expressions on people's faces and/or hear positive stories of inspiration from these areas.
