According to Lauren (left)
She lives in a world of denial. When her size-
The shorts no longer fit, and instead of buying a larger pair of shorts, she used her hair band to bypass the buttons and lift them up.
At a friend's wedding, she squeezed into a dress she knew was too small.
"I can't buy the 16 th! ” says Lauren.
Until she stood in the kitchen with her sister Megan (right)
While they were all eating a big pizza and garlic, Lauren began complaining to Megan about her weight problems.
"She was talking, but I just grabbed my belly and said, 'Yeah, beat it!
Megan said she gave birth to her first child a few months ago.
At that time, both girls knew what they had to do.
"I mentioned to Megan that a woman at work joined WW and she said, 'Let's Connect It!
"We decided to sign up together as a team," Megan said . ".
"But to be honest, let's finish the pizza first! ” jokes Lauren.
Lauren was frightened at the first WW meeting.
"It's scary to walk through those doors!
I thought my weight would be 80 kilos but know it was 90 kilos-I might cry!
She knows she doesn't want to do this anymore.
Once they 've settled down on the project, Lauren and Megan's siblings stand out and inspire them every step forward.
Like most sisters, they are as competitive as their love for each other.
When Megan loses well, Lauren is determined to beat her next week.
"The first question we ask each other is, 'Did you lose? !
Over the next week, girls will use each other's success to inspire them.
"Looking back, losing weight is one of the hardest things we 've ever done," Lauren said . ".
But with the love and support of each other and her husband, Lauren and Megan achieved their goals in just six months.
"I was surprised at the speed of weight loss! ” says Lauren.
For the sisters, it was not until they reached their goal that they realized how important their husband's support was.
"Every week, at the meeting, we get text messages from our husband asking how we are doing.
"Until we reach our goals and think, 'Wow-they 've gone through every step of the way," Lauren said. Only then did we realize the importance of it . ".
Before WW, the sisters were not particularly active.
"None of us left, let alone ran before we started the journey.
"Losing weight opens up completely different parts of our lives and we can't believe we 've hidden them," Lauren said . ".
"I decided to start running a few years ago.
At first, I couldn't run to the end of the street, "admitted Megan.
But she set herself a task of being able to run a kilometer without interruption.
"I practiced on the street.
Every week, I have to run to the bottom until the first street lamp.
The next week, the next pole position, etc, until I can do it.
After 18 months I ran my first 10 km.
My next goal is half.
"Marathon," said Megan.
Running is not Lauren's business, though.
"Megan likes the lonely time she gets from running, while I like to be energetic and noisy. ” says Lauren.
"Having classes and loud noises with a lot of people is more like my scene!
Weight loss is not perfect for Lauren and Megan.
"We look in the mirror and we're happy-we know we're not perfect.
Megan has two beautiful boys and a couple of dimples on my thigh but that's life!
Lauren joked that she would rather lose weight from her hips than from her chest!
"Why is this always the first thing? !
Whether there is a thigh dimples or not, one thing is certain that the confidence of the two sisters has broken through.
"I used to hate seeing pictures of myself and now I'm a self
Self-proclaimed selfiequeen!
I am proud of my looks and it is a huge victory for me! ” says Lauren.
"I have more confidence in my skin.
For the first time in my life I can say I love my body and I proudly say I won it. ” says Megan.
When they scored, Lauren and Megan were asked if they were interested in becoming coaches.
"It's great to know that we can help others on the go," Megan said . ".
Both sisters learned how to make the right choices for their bodies.
"We now have a healthy relationship with food.
"We know our bodies need to be healthy and, most importantly, how to keep our new healthy lifestyle," Lauren said . ".
"We walk and talk about topics for our members-we won't be there without them.
I often say that while they think they need us, the fact is that Megan and I need them more. ” says Lauren.
