Another CB radio center!Time is up for another center about the CB radio!Hoo-Ray!The same is true of you, just not yet aware-That\'s all.Now let's go to the features of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Radio Shack --241 handheld CB radio.Top Keys -On the surface of the radio, there are five buttons under the LCD screen (which we will discuss later ).Starting from the left, the button is H/L and the beep is heard;LIGHT;LOCK/ALERT OFF;Scan CB/WX and CH9/19.H/L indicates high or low power.By pressing this button once, turn it into low power, and then go back to high power by pressing it again.Press and hold this button for 3 seconds and the beep will turn off when you press the button.Another three seconds will beeping again. The light button is obvious. It turns on two green lights at the bottom of the screen for use in the dark. When the lock/alarm close button is held for three seconds, it acts as a hold button to lock the key.Once the weather alarm is turned on and off, press it so that if there is bad weather going in your direction, it will automatically go to the weather station for you.The CB/WX key flips back and forth between the standard 40 CB channels and 7 weather channels. When WX is sideways, it automatically scans and finds the weather station in your area.Pressing the CH9/19 scan button once will go directly to Channel 9, which is only for emergencies; For those of you who don't know that it's already the most popular channel, twice direct you to channel 19 and you'll often hear the most CB chatter on channel 19.When selecting the auto 9/19 channel, the number flashes on the screen, press the button twice if you are on Channel 9, and press the button again if you are on channel 19.The lower half of this key will scan all 40 channels to get the signal. After the signal stops, the scan continues. To cancel the scan, just press the channel up or down button on the side of the radio.Side Keys -There are three buttons on the left side of the radio.PTT (press Talk), channel up and channel down.PTT button is very self-explanatory-You press and hold the button to talk to other CB users. However, before you start speaking, make sure you 've pressed the button completely and make sure you press and hold the button while transferring (otherwise what you say will be cut in half and it's hard to understand ), be sure to finish it completely before releasing the button. The channel up and down keys will scroll the Channel One by one in any way you want.Press the number of times it takes to reach the channel you want, or hold it down to find the channel faster and easier.Top -The top of the CB radio is the antenna jack, the noise, the volume/power, and the microphone and speaker input. The antenna jack is a BNC connector that works with the 8 \ "rubber duck antenna, or you can purchase a PL to PL-259 adapter, so you can use the radio with a standard CB antenna to dramatically increase the reception and range. The right side of the Antnenna input is the squelch knob.Turning this completely clockwise will cut off all the signals received by the CB and let you not receive it.Completely reverse this.Enter the total signal clockwise, but there is a very annoying static hum that makes it unpleasant to use the radio. The best way to set the squelch knob is to start with a complete reverseTurn clockwise until the second stop buzzing. This gives us the biggest signal without unhappiness. The volume knob is simple.Turn the volume down until it completely turns off the radio after clicking. The microphone and SPK inputs are used for external speakers or external microphones at a larger volume.Screen -This puppy's easy to read and understand LCD screen displays your CB channel or Weather Channel in bold on the left side of the screen. On the right, there is 1 m to show how many signals you get. There is a battery power display under the signal table. There is a P under the leftmost channel number.Save, or save battery life by automatically turning on the power saving function when there is no activity on the radio. However, battery life was prominent from the beginning. On the right side of this, "scan" will appear when you are in scan mode ".After scanning, the note indicates that the beep sound opens when the button is pressed, and then the key symbol indicates the lock mode.Other features-On the back of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission241 CB radio with a clip for hands-free listening and transportation. On one side to the right of the screen, there is a loop where the included wristband can be placed. There are two separate options for powering the CB radio, both of which are included in the box.The first is a charging battery pack charged with a power cord (included) and the second is an AA battery pack with 8 Batteries. The AA battery box is a little smaller than the charged battery box.I heard people say this CB radio seems heavy to them and I think it's OK --It feels strong.I think charging the battery pack makes people say it's a bit heavy. My personal truth --241 -I like my CB radio.I used it all the time.Ever since I saw Smokey and Bandit I fell in love with the CB radio and once I showed my friend that movie and showed them my CB radio and they bothThe included 8 \ "rubber duck antenna can stand outside, but it is terrible in the car. When I put the end of the antenna out of the window on the highway, I heard people talking.Obviously, holding the CB radio from outside the window while driving, driving at 65 mph and trying to talk at the same time (not to mention hearing all the wind noise) is not too brightSo I bought a 27 \ "radiosack antenna attached to the top of my car.For this I purchased a BNC from PL-259 adapter so I can connect the antenna to the rubber duck antenna input.I have an old antenna about 40-Ish is a few inches higher from around 70 s and bought another BNC from PL-This is also the 259 adapter.Even if I didn't connect the CB to any of the antennas, there was always at least one at the top of my car because it looked cool.Final judgmentCan I recommend this CB radio?YES.However, make sure it meets your needs and the purpose for which you will use it.It would be great if you were going to keep your CB in a car all the time!Though, you may want to look at the Mobile CB radio installed on the car's circuit board.I didn't move the CB because I took the CB from car to another car, even on a mission trip, and entertained by a 12-hour coach on a van.Even if you have always wanted to put a CB in the car, there is no space to move the CB permanently, which is great because it is compact and easy to fit into the glove box and console. If you are looking for this CB all the time, I highly recommend you to check it out.Great purchase!
