Green is the hottest buzzword in design today.
Designers have inadvertently contributed to the current environmental crisis by creating satisfactory products that fuel the global consumer economy and its attendant resource consumption and pollution.
Today, the industry is trying to make up for it, especially the new generation of young designers who are exploring ways to reduce the negative impact of the goods they create.
However, it is recognized that the problem is huge and complex, and many of the solutions currently offered are simple: the idea that we can save the planet while continuing to maintain the current level of consumption is not feasible
Therefore, many of the most interesting "green" designs presented on these pages today have instead attracted attention to environmental and social issues rather than proposing solutions.
